Francisco Lopera (June 10, 1951 – September 10, 2024), a professor and neurologist at the University of Antioquia in Medellín, Colombia, identified and studied the world’s largest extended family with inherited Alzheimer dementia caused by the dominant E280A mutation in the PS1 gene.
